Meditation Support
I started meditating in my early 20s, and like many people, struggled with what I met in my own mind, and have been studying Buddhist teachings ever since. With practice rooted in both the Tibetan and Insight Meditation lineage traditions I took refuge with Lama Zopa Rinpoche in 2005, and sat a 3-month silent meditation retreat under the guidance of the late Rob Burbea in 2013. His teachings continue to influence and inspire me.
I care deeply about the power of practice as a tool to heal and liberate, and am passionate about how meditation can help us more fully meet the crises of these times. I am trained in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction and Mindfulness-Based Compassionate Living and have completed both the Committed Dharma Practitioner Programme and the Community Dharma Leader programme via Gaia House. On an ongoing basis I participate in trainings from EBMC, specifically focussed around anti-racism and their White and Awakening in Sangha programme.
Since 2021 I’ve been a part of the teaching faculty at the Sharpham Trust, co-leading meditation retreats throughout the year, and pioneering the development of their LGBTQIA+ strand of retreats. A key component is radical self-compassion and listening circles/relational practice, and leaning into nature-based practice to remember our sacred connection with Earth.
